In the present volume we publish many additional cultic finds,including fire pans or shovels that could be used for moving hot coalsand for burning incense (comparable to the biblical matah); arectangular shrine-model (naos) with detached pillars; zoomorphicvessels; a larger sample of pottery with statistical analysis; importedCypriot pottery; dog bones (probably related to ritual); an inscriptionon a bowl; fragments of worked stones (perhaps from altars); andchemical residues from juglets and chalices, which seem to indicatepresence of hallucinatory and incense materials. In addition, we offeran update on the iconography of the Yavneh cult stands and a study ofthe larger world of cult stands in the southern Levant; criteria foridentifying favissae and their appearance from the Late Bronze Age tothe Persian Period in Palestine; and a concluding discussion on Yavneh,incense, and Philistine ethnicity. Aggiungi al carrelloRARE final report of the excavations of the large fortress of Horvat `Uza, which was originally built in the Iron Age and re-used with modifications in the Hellenistic and Roman periods, and the smaller frontier outpost of Horvat Radum, which was abandoned at the end of the Iron Age. The results of the excavation of part of a ne…wly-discovered Iron Age settlement (no. 24) are also presented.
