Die Analyse fragt nach dem Zusammenhang zwischen einer staatlich gelenkten Gedenk- und Erinnerungskultur und deren Vermittlung durch die Medien, wobei in der Studie die Untersuchung von Kontinuitäten und Brüchen im 'Meisternarrativ' von besonderer Bedeutung ist. Insbesondere massentaugliche Formate wie Spielfilme und Fernsehserien werden in der Studie auf ihre narrativen Konstruktionen sowie ihren Bilderhaushalt analysiert, die affirmativ oder anlehnend wirken konnten, und dabei entsprechende Reaktionen in der polnischen Gesellschaft hervorrufen konnten.
