Die Zuse KG dokumentierte damit den revolutionären Technologiesprung von den ersten mechanischen Systemen bis hin zu modernen Transistorrechnern.Gleichzeitig steht die Zahl 25 in der Zuse-Historie für den legendären Transistorcomputer Zuse Z25, der ab 1963 in Serie gebaut wurde.1. Das Jubiläum: 25 Jahre Zuse-Entwicklungen (19361961)Die im Jahr 1961 herausgebrachte Dokumentation 25 Jahre Zuse. Entwicklung programmgesteuerter Rechenanlagen vom mechanischen Schaltglied über Relais, Röhre, zum Transistor fasst die vier technologischen Epochen zusammen, die Konrad Zuse maßgeblich geprägt hat:Das mechanische Schaltglied (Ab 1936): Entwicklung der Z1 im Wohnzimmer seiner Eltern. Sie war der weltweit erste mechanische Rechner, der bereits das Binärsystem und die Fließkommaarithmetik nutzte.Das Relais (1941): Bau der Z3, dem ersten voll funktionsfähigen, programmgesteuerten Digitalrechner der Welt. Seine Nachfolgemaschine, die Z4, wurde später an der ETH Zürich als erster kommerziell gehandelter Computer eingesetzt.Die Elektronenröhre (1957): Markteinführung der Z22. Sie war der erste Zuse-Rechner mit einem magnetischen Speicher (Magnettrommelspeicher) und läutete den flächendeckenden Einzug der Elektronischen Datenverarbeitung (EDV) an deutschen Hochschulen ein.Der Transistor (Ab 1958/1960): Der Übergang zur Halbleitertechnik, der die Rechner drastisch verkleinerte, beschleunigte und den Stromverbrauch senkte (eingesetzt ab der Z23).2. Die Rechenanlage Zuse Z25Häufig wird der Begriff im selben Atemzug mit der Zuse Z25 genannt.Vorstellung: Das System wurde 1962 auf der Hannover Messe präsentiert und ab 1963 serienmäßig ausgeliefert.Technik: Sie war ein volldigitaler, universeller Kompaktcomputer auf Transistorbasis.
