Our understanding of Greek prose, Hellenistic prose in the first place, has been deepened by it. Among the scholars who by their labours in this field have earned our thanks, Professor Holger Thesleff (Helsinki) has distinguished himself. He started by publishing two monographs in which the (necessary) combination of a stylistic and a syntactical approach proved itself useful.
