One of the main factors is the exclusion of socio-economic rights as justiciable under the now repealed Lancaster House Constitution (LHC). A pletho…ra of excessive bureaucratic actions in a number of instances left many people stranded without the recourse to the law, particularly without protection by the Constitution. To correct this historic anomaly, the 2013 Constitution was enacted. The 2013 Constitution protects both civil and political rights and socio-economic rights in the same way as justiciable rights. This provides the highest degree of interdependence and interrelatedness of all rights in the domestic legal order.In order to ensure that socio-economic rights are effectively protected and enforced, this study identifies and discusses the framework for protecting socio-economic rights under the 2013 Constitution. Firstly, the specific rights protected under the Constitution and the obligations imposed by these rights are presented. Secondly, the role of the courts in the protection of socio-economic rights is discussed. Further, some of the major conceptual and practical challenges that are likely to arise in the adjudication of socio-economic rights are identified. In this regard, the study attempts to present solutions meant to overcome the conceptual and practical challenges that are faced in the enforcement of socio-economic rights. Furthermore, this study argues that strictly adopting one of the two models of review, namely either the reasonableness approach as adopted by South African courts or the minimum core approach as expounded by the United Nations Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), will inhibit the proper enforcement of the protected rights. Therefore, courts should consider adopting an integrated model that includes both approaches to ensure that socio-economic rights are effectively protected and realised. 100 pp. Englisch.

It also plays a pivotal role in minimizing the cultural divergences. Translation has been widely practiced over the centuries in the world in general and in Arab world in particular. The founding mythology and the sacred texts of the dominant religions are all based on translations. In short, translation has been essential for development and change in literature, commerce, technology, politics, so on and so forth.Translation mediates between languages, societies, and literatures, and it is through translation that linguistic and cultural barriers may be overcome. Traditionally, translation is considered a change of form, which is a change of surface structures from a source language into a target language. A rather simple definition of translation as 'the replacement of textual material (SL) by equivalent textual material in another (TL)' is suggested by Catford (1990, p.20). In this respect, Catford is more concerned with formal language rules and grammar, rather than the context or the pragmatics of the text to be translated. Nonetheless, he stressed that:'Since every language is formally sui-generis, and formal correspondence is, at best, a rough approximate on it is clear that the formal meaning of SL items can rarely be the same'(Catford, 1990, p.36).Indeed, form is a vehicle of meaning, and translation consists mainly of transferring the meaning of the SL text into the TL. Hence, translation, according to Nida(2001,p.12),'consists of reproducing in the receptor language the closest natural equivalent of the source language message first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style'. This definition reveals a notion of equivalence in translation at the semantic and stylistic levels. It views translation as a reproduction of a similar response of the TL reader by reproducing equivalent meaning and style. We analyzed the term of definiteness in German and Macedonian and came to conclusion that according to the results from our analysis, almost all the participants used the articles in a native-like manner in most cases, particularly those with high German proficiency, but also we should mention that inappropriate selection and choice for articles are being made. This monograph was designed to raise foreign language students' awareness of the differences and similarities in the language pair German-Macedonian in the field of definiteness. This study was an attempt to find the relationship between EI, gender, major, and reading comprehension ability of Iranian EFL le…arners. For this purpose, 268 students completed the Bar-On EQ inventory (1997) which included 133 items and took a reading comprehension test. It was found that females outperformed males in the reading comprehension test. However, no significant relationship was found between gender and major on one hand and reading comprehensions ability on the other hand. Subsequent data analysis revealed that the relationship between four EI scales (interpersonal, stress management, adaptability, and general mood) and reading comprehension ability was significant. However, no significant relationship was found between intrapersonal scale and reading comprehension ability. Furthermore, significant correlations were found between EI subscales and reading comprehension positive except for independence and assertiveness. The implications of the study and suggestions for further research are discussed. 84 pp. Englisch.

However, t…he AoA has been fashioned in a way that is enabling developed countries to continue high levels of protectionism through subsidization, whilst many developing countries are facing severe and often damaging competition from imports artificially cheapened through subsidies.The regulation of subsidies by the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has been a highly sensitive issue. This is mainly due to the fear of compromising on food security, especially by developed countries. Developing countries have suffered negatively from the subsidy programmes of developed countries, which continue to subsidize their agricultural sector. This position of developing countries in the global trade system, which has been described as weak, has drawn criticism of the WTO, namely that it does not protect the interests of the weak developing nations, but rather strengthens the interests of the strong developed nations.The green box provisions which are specifically designed to regulate payments that are considered trade neutral or minimally trade distorting have grossly been manipulated by developed countries at the mercy of the AoA. Developed countries continue to provide trade distorting subsidies under the guise of green box support. This is defeating the aims and objectives of the AoA.The study examines the regulation of WTO agricultural subsidies from the developing countries' perspective. It looks at the problems WTO member states face with trade distorting subsidies, but focuses more on the impact these have on developing states. It scrutinizes the AoA's provisions regulating subsidies by adopting a perspective to identify any loopholes or shortcomings which undermine the interests and aspirations of developing countries. We have demonstrated for the first the appl…icability of the glyoxalase system in imparting abiotic stress tolerance in a crop legume Vigna mungo. The transgenic lines were confirmed for gene insertion using different molecular techniques. The expression pattern of the inserted gene/s confirmed the expression and activity of the gene in the all transgenic lines studied up to T2 generations. The in vitro raised plants are usually sensitive to hardening process as well as transplantation. In case of blackgram, the survival rate during hardening and the transplantation was ca. 65-70%. To improve the percentage survival of plants, plant growth promoting Rhizobium and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungi were applied during the hardening and transplantation. This resulted in overall survival rate of plants up to 90% in both the transgenics as well as the untransformed control plants. Effect of Rhizobium and Mycorrhiza on transgenic as well as the untransformed control plants was studied. We reported for the first time that the transgenic nature of the plant does not affect association of the plant growth promoting Rhizobacteria or Mycorrhiza. Alleviates transplantation shock of in vitro grown Vigna mungo plants was also observed. 96 pp. Englisch.
