Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Thesis (M.A.) from the year 1998 in the subject Business economics - Marketing, Corporate Communication, CRM, Market Research, Social Media, grade: 1,3, University of Nottingham (Business School), language: English, abstract: Inhal…tsangabe:Abstract:The idea of understanding consumer behaviour as a sequential decision-making process is one that is common in marketing. The decision-making process itself is presented as a logical flow of activities, working from problem recognition to purchase to post-purchase evaluation. This decision-making process is affected by a number of other more complex influences. Some of these influences relate to the wider environment in which the decision is being made while others relate to the individual who makes the decision. In this context, . [o]ne of the most widely accepted notions in consumer behavior is that word-of-mouth communication (hereafter WOM) plays an important role in shaping consumers' attitudes and behaviors. More specifically, WOM communications between consumers are a topic of interest in both the pre-purchase and post-purchase decision-making literature. Research into the diffusion of innovations has focused on modelling the role of WOM in product adoption at various stages of the diffusion process. WOM has also been studied as a mechanism through which consumers convey both informational and normative influences in the product evaluation. Finally, WOM has been identified as an important post-purchase complaining option.Although WOM plays an important role in consumer pre-purchase and post-purchase decision-making, research into this phenomenon has been fragmented. Importantly, relatively little attention has been directed at understanding key issues with respect to WOM recommendation sources and the factors that influence their use. The aim of the present work is to add to this small body of empirical research. The main part of this paper is divided into two chapters. Chapter 2, that follows an introduction to the work, is a theoretical one. It is a review of the literature on consumer decision-making and the individual and environmental influences on it. Emphasis is being placed on WOM communication and its role in understanding consumer behaviour. Chapter 3 focuses on the choice of WOM recommendation sources. Empirical research is presented which explores the influences on the choice over WOM recommendation sources. Finally, concluding remarks and recommendations for further research can be found in chapter 4.Inhaltsverzeichnis:Table of Contents:Chapter 1: Introduction1 Chapter 2: Literature Review32.1Consumer Decision-Making32.1.1The Decision-Making Process42.1.1.1Problem Recognition52.1.1.2Information Search62.1.1.3Evaluation of Alternatives82.1.1.4Purchase92.1.1.5Post-Purchase Evaluation102.1.2Individual Influences122.1.3Environmental Influences152.1.3.1Culture152.1.3.2Social Class162.1.3.3Reference Groups162.2Word-of-Mouth Communication202.2.1Definition202.2.2Scope and Significance202.2.3Characteristics of WOM222.2.4The Nature of WOM242.2.4.1Types242.2.4.2Process242.2.4.3Conditions282.2.4.4Motives292.2.5WOM and the Consumer Behaviour Literature302.2.5.1Adoption and Diffusion on Innovations302.2.5.2Post-Purchase Decision-Making312.2.5.3Pre-Purchase Decision-Making33Chapter 3: Empirical Analysis343.1The Model343.1.1Recommendation Sources343.1.2Evaluative Cues353.1.3Task Difficulty363.1.4Prior Knowledge373.1.5Hypotheses393.2Research Context433.3Method453.3.1Research Instrument453.3.2Procedure473.3.3Sample483.4Results503.5Discussion573.6Limitations61Chapter 4: Conclusion62Appendix AAppendix BReferences 92 pp. Englisch.

The work considered the necessary hardware, principles of neural networks and controlling techniques. The hardware comprised of a robot with three DC-motors and three optical position encoders, a personal computer with a D/A card for voltage output to the robot and two D/D cards. One D/D card for receiving values from the optical encoders and one for timing. The basics of artificial neural network type perceptrons were described. The special features bias, output feedback, momentum term, adjustment of momentum factor and adjustment of learning rate for this artificial neural network type were considered. An introduction to learning and control structures using artificial neural networks were given. These were controller copying, direct modelling, direct inverse modelling, control with a model and an inverse model, forward and inverse modelling, control action feedback error learning, feedback error learning, learning and control using the plant s Jacobian. The conversion of two learning and control structures, direct inverse modelling and control action feedback error learning, was implemented in software using MS QuickBASIC 4.5 . One joint was controlled with a direct inverse model. One joint and all joints together were controlled with control action feedback error learning. The results of experiments with these learning and control structures were documented.Inhaltsverzeichnis:Table of Contents:1.Introduction82.The hardware92.1The robot92.2The computer and the software112.3The PCL-726 D/A card112.4The D/D card112.5The PCL-812 D/D card122.6The G64 rack123.Neural networks133.1The neuron133.2Conversion of neural networks143.3Learning principles of neural networks173.4Special modifications to the neural network used193.5Learning capacity224.Teaching and control techniques235.The software285.1The teaching and control program285.1.1The direct inverse modelling and trajectory estimation program295.1.2The control action feedback error learning program306.Experiments with learning and control structures316.1Direct inverse modelling316.1.1Direct inverse modelling of the waist326.1.2Trajectory estimation for the waist346.2Control action feedback error learning (CAFEL)366.2.1Control action feedback error learning of the waist376.2.2Control action feedback error learning of the shoulder396.2.3Control action feedback error learning of all joints at the same time397.Conclusions and recommendations448.Appendix478.1Symbols478.2Indices488.3Bibliography498.4Floppy disk with the program508.5Floppy disks with this report50 60 pp. Englisch.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Inhaltsangabe:Abstract:Increasing competition, deregulation, globalisation, and technological advancement continuously create new business realities for organisations in the marketplace. In order to cope with these structural chang…es, many organisations aim at improving and innovating their business processes within the implementation of a quality management System. In today's competitive environment however, it is not sufficient to implement internally oriented business process improvements. Instead, companies have to concentrate an externally focused process improvements which add value to customers and thus enhance customer relationships. Such customer value driven process improvements help to integrate marketing and operations strategies and thereby provide a significant competitive advantage.A quality management system enables organisations to achieve a competitive edge through customer satisfaction in today's highly competitive domestic and global markets. Customer satisfaction forms an integral part of a quality management system which focuses organisations an meeting or exceeding customer expectations through outstanding product and service performance. The integrative approach of a quality management system motivates everyone in an organisation to serve the customer. Customers include the end user (external customers) as well as all employees within an organisation (internal customers). As a result, external and internal customer expectations and requirements drive business processes. Moreover, quality and customer satisfaction are defined by customers and not by internal specifications. Therefore, an organisation has to focus an adding value to products and Services from the customers' perspective. Achieving customer satisfaction by exceeding customer requirements is a growing concern to organisations throughout the entire business world. Australian companies thus have to meet increasing international competition by providing customers with better quality products and services at lower prices than competitors. In this system, Total Quality Management represents the Overall organisational philosophy of the quality drive. Kaizen is the instrument to achieve a quality culture in an organisation, and Lean Management concentrates an the optimisation of time and cost in business processes, especially in production. A quality management System therefore aims at coordinating organisational improvement programs. This paper aims at identifying [¿] 180 pp. Englisch.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Master's Thesis from the year 2001 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 1,0, University of Applied Sciences Mainz (Wirtschaftswissenschaften, General Management), language: English,…abstract: Inhaltsangabe:Abstract:Near the beginning in Homer s Odyssey, the son of Odysseus, young Telemachus, had been advised by the goddess of wisdom, Athena, to ask old King Nestor about an important issue, relating to the residence of his father. Telemachus hesitated, explaining his doubts by introversion and insecurity. Telemachus behaviour lives on in the contemporary context of Mergers &Acquisitions where still the most inexperienced, unskilled professionals supposed and expected to know everything long before the process starts. Developing rules and principles for preparing and implementing acquisition projects attempts to provide a general idea about one of the most difficult, vast, complicated, and sometimes immeasurable growth strategies in management, M&A. While M&A activity had been an Anglo-American occurrence during the first merger wave, the process of concentration had changed to a global phenomenon. Financially driven acquisitions and corporate raiders had been popular during the 1980s, the 1990s and the present is faced with strategic M&A.The present research focuses especially on points that are problematical to measure. Part one comprises a basic approach to M&A, including corporate strategy in terms of its characteristics and the element of strategic management. Part two of the thesis is concerned with the entire M&A strategy. Therefore, the acquisition process had been divided into three components:1. Pre-acquisition process.2. The transaction-phase.3. Post-merger Integration Management (PIM).The centralisation of this part and also the whole thesis, is the search and screen process for potential target companies, a marketing and cultural due diligence approach, and the post-merger integration management (in particular the integration of different organisational cultures). To be precise, the author considered these aspects as absolutely elemental, unquestionable and critical for M&A success. As a result, point four (Valuation techniques and financing methods) is only explained incredibly superficial. The final part of the present research - Part three - combines all the various aspects that had been evaluated during the study by providing some guiding principles for M&A success. Furthermore, the terms Mergers and Acquisitions are used interchangeably in the text because in many instances it is not clear whether one or the other is occurring. However, for certain purposes, it is necessary to distinguish the two forms of business combinations. The distinction has been explained to greater detail in 2.2.The field of M&A is far too extensive to be covered thoroughly within a limitation of approximately 60 pages. In order to treat M&A entirely, research has to focus not only on economical aspects but also on sociological and psychological issues. The objective of the thesis was to give a wide-ranging view about the challenging topic and provide, as a general principle, some rules for preparing and implementing acquisition projects. For that reason, the appendices are designed to present practical information on a how to do basis. Finally, I would like to thank those who have contributed to the study by providing information and constructive comments and improvement proposals. In particular, I would like to thank my aunt, Madame Gisèlle Hierse, whom I engaged in correcting the spelling and grammar mistakes in this paper. Further on, I would like to thank my supervisor, Professor Dr. Herbert Paul, who always had been centrally involved. His guidance, and encouragement is truly appreciated.Inhaltsverzeichn. 136 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. This item is printed on demand - Print on Demand Titel. Neuware -Inhaltsangabe:Abstract:The idea of understanding consumer behaviour as a sequential decision-making process is one that is common in marketing. The decision-making process itself is presented as a logical flow of activities, working fr…om problem recognition to purchase to post-purchase evaluation. Finally, concluding remarks and recommendations for further research can be found in chapter 4.Inhaltsverzeichnis:Table of Contents:Chapter 1: Introduction1Chapter 2: Literature Review32.1Consumer Decision-Making32.1.1The Decision-Making Process42.1.1.1Problem [¿]Diplomica Verlag, Hermannstal 119k, 22119 Hamburg 92 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Inhaltsangabe:Abstract:Increasing competition, deregulation, globalisation, and technological advancement continuously create new business realities for organisations in the marketplace. In order to cope with these structural changes,…many organisations aim at improving and innovating their business processes within the implementation of a quality management System. This paper aims at identifying [¿]Diplomica Verlag, Hermannstal 119k, 22119 Hamburg 180 pp. Englisch.
