Im Bezug darauf setzt sich die Arbeit zunächst näher mit der Erziehung Rousseaus, seiner Vorstellung von Natur und der natürlichen Erziehung auseinander. Spezifisch wird genauer erläutert, welche Vorteile das Heranwachsen des Kindes auf dem Land und welche Nachteile die Entwicklung dessen in der Stadt mit sich bringt.Zu Beginn der Arbeit wird zunächst der Erziehungsstil vor der Zeit Rousseaus genauer beleuchtet. Given the survey data, non-parametric methods were used in data analysis to answer the research hypotheses. This research narrows its focus on drivers of agricultural productivity which are connected to socio-economic characteristics of the household head, the agricultural practices followed by the household as well as the characteristics of the soil cultivated by the household. Research results are based on the answers of 2492 Ugandan households. Results from the model revealed that the Ugandan household¿s agricultural productivity is highly dependent on the gender and age of the household head. The agricultural productivity of households was found to be significantly higher in the Western than in the Eastern and Northern regions. The use of improved seeds and keeping improved breeds of animals was found to significantly affect agricultural productivity. Results also revealed that agricultural productivity is dependent on topography, land quality (as reported by respondents), soil type, and the use of extension services. Agriculture is key to Africäs future. The continent has the largest proportion of the world¿s arable land, with over half of its population employed in the sector, and also agriculture is the largest contributor to total gross domestic product (GDP). Yet, the same continent continues to produce very little food and low value-added products. Productivity has been stagnant since the 1980s (AGRA, 2018). The teenage girl Cameron Post is sent to a conversion therapy camp to be cured of her homosexuality. Before and during her time in the camp, she writes down her experiences and her eventual escape. A huge wave of critics and also defending scholarly journals and books occurred after 1975. In this year the Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe accused Conrad of being a racist who portrays such a poor image of Africa as it can be seen as ¿the antithesis of Europe and therefore of civilization, a place where man¿s vaunted intelligence and refinement are finally mocked by triumphant bestiality¿ (Achebe). This triggered a wave of indignation and authors like Hunt Hawkins, Cedric Watts and Patrick Brantlinger who defended Conrad¿s work as a critic on imperialism in which Conrad presents the dreadful reality of colonialism in the Congo at a time in which xenophobia was the most popular understanding of racial differences. But as many authors have already recognized, the derogatory language, the focus on the outward appearance of blacks, and the use of confusing and definitely pejorative adjectives leaves an image of Africa that ¿can hardly be called flattering¿ (Hawkins). Unlike Chinua Achebe, who concentrated his critic on one specific work, Toni Morrison¿s critic in Playing in the Dark: Whiteness and the Literary Imagination (1992) was addressed to many authors who included a real or fabricated Africanist presence in their work as a catalyst in the formation of American identity (cf. Morrison). Since it seems that nobody has aligned the representation of the black race in Heart of Darkness with Toni Morrison¿s work, I am trying to demonstrate that the Africanist presence was necessary for Joseph Conrad in order to hide his critical imperial stance in a way that it remains readable for the Victorian British audience. Since so many authors have already agreed to read Heart of Darkness as a critic on imperialism, I will not focus on demonstrating this critical stance. This is why I will analyze one paragraph in order to show how the racial superiority is conveyed in the story by constructing racial hierarchies before the general depictions of race in the Victorian British society is presented. Along the status of utilization of ICT in human resource management, records management and project management, it garnered an overall weighted mean of 3.96, 3.70 and 4.60 respectively, describing ICT as being highly utilized. While all of the indicators provided in financial management received a weighted mean ranging from 2.10 to 1.69, and all plainly describing ICT as less utilized. Among the challenges encountered by employees, the following was found to be most prevalent: lack of trainings for IT support which results to slow adoption of new technologies; no records management system within the district; insufficient high-end laptops or desktops for design software that causes delay on planning stage and; although all indicators of financial management received low means, slow budget system (e-Budget) for facilitating and monitoring is the main challenge for the variable. I argue that first international law is not as clear on the subject as some might argue, second that for this reason the sole reference to international law has not contributed essentially to a solution of the conflict within the recent years and third that many of the legal aspects oppose perceptions of justice for both sides involved. Therefore, I believe that taking a close look at the issue using theoretical perspectives of some of the most prestigious thinkers of the past centuries can positively contribute to the debate surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The findings of this paper and their normative aspects hold political implications that provide a deeper understanding for the possibilities of a just peace between the parties involved. In the first section of my paper, I will take a look at the legal aspects of territory in general and the case of Israel in particular. In this context I will also examine the historical dimensions that play a role in our case. Rejecting the idea that the reference to legal implications hold the components for a just peace, I then turn to the theoretical approaches towards the question of territorial rights. In this context, I will engage different schools of thought, including their most important authors, that consider the normative foundations of a.) the rights of states to rule over territory and b.) the rights of a particular state to rule over a particular territory. These theoretical approaches are first Lockean approaches towards territorial rights which derive territorial rights from property rights of individuals/collectives and their consent to pass over these rights to a state and secondly, nationalist approaches that focus on the nation as the subject of territorial rights and emphasize its¿ historical connection to particular. The VISTA enhancer browser and Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) data were used in this study to determine our candidate brain enhancer. The VISTA enhancer browser was used to quest for cis-regulatory element(s) in the environs of Prdm15 by comparative genomics and only one candidate enhancer we designated Prdm15 control element 1(PCE1) was identified downstream of the gene. PCE1 was found to be conserved in organisms such as chicken, zebrafish, rhesus, chimp, dog and cow. To ascertain if PCE1 is a brain enhancer, we delineated PCE1 using brain-specific enhancer chromatin modification signatures H3K4me1 and H3K27ac in the ENCODE data and they showed enrichment for PCE1. In conclusion, our data set revealed that only one brain candidate enhancer (PCE1) exist for Prdm15 and that this brain enhancer for Prdm15 will help in identifying important upstream specific transcription factors of PrdmI5 during brain development. 44 pp. Englisch.
