Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Good. First Edition. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy. Bound in contemporary calf-leather over boards, stamped gilt borders to spine, gilt lettering of Tatler over burgundy label at spine, but half of each is chipped away. Bound in at frontis is a piece by Rich…ard Steele, an item dedicated to William Lord Cowper, set in overlarge type-face, then begins with Tuesday, January 3rd, 1709 issue (#115). The interior is remarkably bright, with some scuffing along edges, tips, joints, else quite nice. It mimicked Addison and Steele's The Spectator, Samuel Johnson's The Rambler and The Idler, and Goldsmith's Citizen of the World. 318 pp. plus a complete index, letter by letter.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
