Boards rubbed, scuffed with loss of some paper, and soiled, shelf wear to edges with loss of paper, 1 neat repair to page 272 running into text, no loss to text, small neat closed tears repaired to the margins of 2 leaves, plus marginal repair to page 106 just touching text with with loss of 7 letters which have been neatly inked in, top margin corner of page 273 missing, a few small chips to pages 267-276, occasional pale spotting, pale browning to endpapers.
