This book tells of the idea and then of the reality. Softening to the backstrip edges along with some fading. Rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. A few marks to the front book panel. Age toning the occasional mark of the textblock edges. Previous owners details to the free front end paper. Chipping to the backstrip edge and to the dustwrapper corners. There is a curving tear to the top right-hand corner of the rear panel measuring 3 inches. The lower 3 inches of the front fold over crease has split. The author goes it into the history, along way demolishing myths and adding a few more, to the most recognisable song in Australia 'Waltzing Matilda'. The author has given a small gift inscription to the top edge of the free front end page and signed on the title page  please see photograph. Softening of the back strip edges and rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with the top right hand corner of the title page through to page 1 being the dogeared, top right hand corner. Offset tanning to the end pages. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and a little creasing of the top dustwrapper edge. There is a 0.5'' tear to the top edge of the front panel. Rubbing and grubby marks to the dustwrapper.
