The only ones related among themselves earthquakes that the geophysical mainstream recognizes as such (unlike what the commo…n people very often imagine) are the aftershocks - a series of shocks which generally begins with the strongest. In this book the reader will know a different vision regarding the earthquakes successions. Based on a rigorous formal reasoning providing from the Mathematical Statistics and the Elementary Catastrophes Theory, the author shows that the observed locally periodicity always is part of certain closed (for now hidden) cycles of earthquake successions, which encompass one by one the epicentres of the respective tectonic plate. Unfortunately, there are not historical records long enough to compare our theory with the reality, but also it is known that the tectonic theory waited half a century for to be accepted during the last century's sixties, which did not prevent to take advantage of this and little by little going forward. 68 pp. Englisch.

At the same time, a zebra structure wa…s discovered in the radio emission from a pulsar in the Crab Nebula. Its analysis has already been carried out within the framework of various mechanisms, and here, we propose a new mechanism of explosive instability, more suitable for the parameters of the pulsar magnetosphere.We also show new analysis of unusual type-II bursts with cessation of the frequency drift, the sources of which were hypothetically associated with the appearance of standing shock waves (termination shocks, TS). The observations show also that the disappearance of the radio bursts (with spikes and ZP) coincides with the destruction of TS. We also tried to clarify the generation mechanism for type II bursts, since a difficult situation has now emerged, when many papers appeared with a detailed investigation of the relationship between shock waves (sources of type II bursts) and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) but without analyzing the mechanisms of radio emission. 120 pp. Englisch.

This account relates the present status of maternal, neonatal, and under-five-mortality to the Sustainab…le Development Goals (SDG) targets set for 2030. For each SDG indicator, progress observed was compared with that needed to meet the target (assuming linear progression). The highest maternal mortality ratio is found in Sierra Leone (1360 in 2015), followed by Nigeria (814) and Liberia (725). Whereas Sierra Leone and Nigeria keep high positions also for the neonatal and under-five mortality rate, Liberia ranks clearly better than the ECOWAS average. Globally skilled health professionals' density is 25 per 10,000 population and in Nigeria close to it with 20.1 whereas Guinea takes the last position with 1.4. The gap analysis shows that ECOWAS countries have a realistic chance to likely reach the SDG targets in 2030 with a delay of less than 4 years regarding maternal, neonatal, and under-five-mortality although their skilled health professionals' density is considerably lower than for the entire African Region. 56 pp. Englisch.

This study was conducted in the Somali Region, Ethiopia, especially in the Ber-ano district of the Shabele Zone. Quantitative and qualitative research methods were applied among others being frequency distribution, tabulations, inferential statistics such as Chi-square, Binary Logistic Regressions, focus group discussion, key informant interview, and observation, among others. Ozone concentration plays a great role on the ( ) % of dyes removal… for all the six dyes used in this work. The degradation of some dyes reached up to 95-99% at ozonation time 90 sec. Plasma technology assists printing of different fabrics (blend, nature and synthetic) with nature dyes. Cotton, polyester, wool and their blends with polyester could be successfully printed with pigment technique containing natural dyes then fixed with plasma. DBD plasma fixation enhanced the printability of all treated fabrics and increased their color strength nearly to the triple compared to the control ones. Fastness properties as rubbing, washing & light are all improved to excellent after DBD plasma fixation. 52 pp. Englisch.
