The result of analysis revealed that the participants employed meta-cognitive l…istening strategies the most, followed by cognitive and socio-affective listening strategies, and in terms of learning styles, they preferred communicative styles the most and concrete styles the least. Their second and third styles were analytical and authority-oriented. The finding also indicated that both male and female learners utilized meta-cognitive, cognitive and socio-affective listening strategies sequentially. Whereas, the mean scores indicated that male students employed each listening strategy more often than females. The Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between learning styles and listening strategies employed by the students. Therefore, EFL teachers should involve learning styles into listening strategy instruction. This would help them which kinds of listening strategies should be focused and how to deal with learners.

The model is derived using the known neuronal groups, and their various projections, involved with sleep and wake. Inherent in the derivation is the existence of a s…low time scale associated with homeostatic regulation, and a faster time scale associated with the dynamics within the sleep phase. A significant feature of the model is that it does not contain a periodic forcing term, common in other models, reflecting the fact that sleep/wake is not dependent upon a diurnal stimulus. Once derived, the model is analyzed using a linearized stability analysis. The treatments consisted of four intra-row spacings (20, 30, 40 and 50 centimetres) and four defoliation rates (0, 25, 50 and 75 percentages). These treatments were factorially combined and laid out in a randomized complete block design, with three replications. Results obtained showed that vegetable cowpea growth parameters (plant height, shoot fresh weight per plant and shoot dry weight per plant) increased significantly with close intra-row spacing. Similarly green pod yield increased significantly with decreasing levels of intra-row spacing. The intra-row spacing of 20cm yielded 5.7g edible leaf yields per plot which was significantly higher than 5.1g at 30cm in 2008. 76 pp. Englisch.

My findings also provide further evidence that fever and hyperalgesia do not necessarily occur concomitantly after an immunological challenge. However, although most of the studies on breast pathology concern cancer, the overwhelming majority of breast lesions, palpable or n…ot are benign. Thus this research is done in order to understand the impact of diversity and genetic evolution of the D-loop in benign breast lesions in Senegalese women. The variability of the D-loop was investigated and the results revealed a significant presence of specific variants for breast benign tissue. The C150T mutation was associated with protection to the presence of benign breast tumors when G247A implicated in an increased risk. Patients of mitochondrial haplogroup L would be significantly more susceptible to these benign breast lesions. Finally, a significant correlation was associated with haplotypes C309CC and witnessed the D310, which respectively constitute increased risk groups and susceptible to the contraction of benign breast lesions. All these results allowed to have a global view on the influence of pathogenic mutations on diversity and genetic evolution of the D-Loop observed in Senegalese patients with benign breast tumor. 68 pp. Englisch.

It provides useful information on comparative economical and field p…erformance of different paddy harvesting methods involving both manual and mechanical means of crop harvesting. Large number of small and marginal farmers in India carry out their crop harvesting manually. Paddy harvesting is still widely conducted by both men and women farm workers by making use of hand tool namely sickle. A reaper attachment mounted at front of mini (small) tractor and a self propelled reaper were used to conduct mechanized harvesting of paddy crop. Comparison of different paddy harvesting methods revealed that mechanical crop harvesting caused about 40 to 60% cost reduction along with timeliness that could save ready-to-harvest field crop (paddy) against failure due to unseasonal rains by completing harvest operation in short duration and well in time. 84 pp. Englisch.
