It is suggested that unpasteurized fruit juices and contaminated water used in juice making is the potential vehicle for E.coli O157:H7 transmission.

Secondly, this study examined the link between reward practices and organizational performance in different national cultures. In analyzing, this study picked up seven countries and used Hofstede¿s four cultural dimension scores to examine the prevalence of reward practices. Also, to examine the effects of national culture on reward practices and organizational performance, multiple regression analysis was conducted. The findings of this study suggest that although national culture can play an important role in some reward practices, it is not the only factor to be considered in establishing compensation strategies abroad. That is, not only national culture but also other contextual factors, such as institutional factors, should also be considered as moderating variables when HRM managers build compensation strategies.

As a result, deforestation has been undermining economic, social and natural resources base. This study recommended awareness creation,promoting aforestation, reforestation and agro-forestry; participatory forest management strategies, and promoting income generating activities to reduce pressure on forest resources.

Rain Water harvesting system was found as the best alternative with easy implementation in almost all parts of the country, zero energy input and cheapest alternative to collect potable water. This book should help researchers and people who wish to gain an insight into existing alternatives for water supply systems in Nepal.

Market practice has been studied through a case study of the nonprofit fundraising organization the Swedish Cancer Society (SCS; Swe: Cancerfonden) and findings are analyzed with a theoretical framework developed by Helgesson, Kjellberg and Liljenberg (2004). Results show that the market for SCS is formed by market practices seen at different levels and departments within the organization. In its daily work, SCS enhances economic transactions through developing relations and new channels. It was found that the field cracking, roughness and rutting performances of PG 64-22 and PG 64-28 sections on Route 59 were not statistically different. Similarly, tensile strength ratio and APA rutting measured in the laboratory on PG 64-22 and PG 64-28 materials from Route 59 were not statistically different. However, field cracking and roughness on Route 341 were different for PG 64-28 and PG 64-22 sections while the laboratory parameters were the same. Road traffic is one of the main sources of pollution in cities. Besides, vehicular emissions are released in close proximity to population, in…creasing the adverse health effects. However, existing techniques to assess this source of pollution are not always accurate. It is essential to develop methodologies to reduce these uncertainties to manage air quality more effectively. In this work we present new methods to estimate and evaluate road traffic emissions. The developed methods were tested in a city from the developing world, in such cities road traffic emissions are highly uncertain and existing methods to estimate these emissions are expensive and difficult to afford. This research focuses on the study of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), a family of pollutants that have not been sufficiently studied in the urban air quality. All the techniques presented in this work offer several advantages. Data obtained serve for different purposes at the same time and their use can provide valuable information for urban air quality assessment. 116 pp. Englisch.

With these advantages, it is feasible that PCM could be the future of data storage as it has the potential to replace both secondary storage and main memory. In this thesis, we study the current status of PCM in the memory hierarchy, its characteristics , advantages and challenges in implementing the technology. Specifically, we study how the byte-writeable PCM can be used as a buffer for flash SSD to improve its write efficiency. Then in the second part, we study how traditional relational database management should be altered for a database completely implemented in PCM. Specifically, we study this effect by choosing hash-join algorithm. The experiments are carried out in a simulated environment, by modifying a DRAM to act as a PCM. We use postgreSQL database for relational database experiment. The results show that PCM has many benefits in the current memory hierarchy. 84 pp. Englisch.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The goal of this thesis is the implementation of a fully distributed multiparty computation protocol in a Two-Party setting, secure in the semi-honest model. For each single step in the protocol is expected the participation of two… and only two parties. This is among the first implementations of a complete distributed protocol for RSA Composite generation in this setting, on top of which several Secure Multiparty Computation protocols have also been implemented. In this paper it has been shown that using standards approaches the problem turns to be intractable. From this first result, the research moves in several directions, adopting Elliptic Curve-based solutions, avoiding where possible the use of expensive cryptographic operations, and using different cheaper approaches. This has brought to the implementation of the last version of the protocol, which permits to the two parties to securely compute an RSA Composite of at least 2048 bits in 15 minutes in average. Thus, it has practically been demonstrated that many of the different applications of the SMPC model that have been studied in the rich literature on the argument have a chance of being used in real-world environment. 60 pp. Englisch.

A descriptive post test only study was conducted in 50 FCHVs from 6 Village Development Committee (VDCs) in Dhankuta district. The study site was selected randomly. Primary data were collected through interview, performance summary sheet and observation checklist. The study showed that the mean age of FCHVs was 41 years; most of them were from age group 40-50 years (34 percent) and among those, more were from Literate (34 percent) group.
