Since there is no standard method of mix design is available for SCC. Hence mix design was arrive…d as per the Guide lines of European Federation of National Associations Representing for Concrete (EFNARC). Marsh cone test was used to find the saturation point of different type of cements by adding the dosage of super plasticizer accordingly. In this investigation SCC was made by usual ingredients such as cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water and mineral admixture (GGBFS) at various replacement levels (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%), with that the Super Plasticizer (Glenium B233) and viscosity modifying agent (Glenium Stream 2) was used in appropriate amount for achieving the better flow in the concrete. The experiments were carried out by maintaining a constant water-powder ratio of 0.45. At various replacement levels the performance of freshly prepared SCC is checked by conducting tests such as slump flow, T50 slump flow, U-tube, L-box and V-funnel tests. 72 pp. Englisch.

The purpose of this st…udy was to investigate the determinants of community participation in the implementation of development projects a case of Garissa Sewerage Project. Four research questions were formulated to guide the study. The study employed a descriptive survey research design. The sample comprised of 138 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaire and interview guide. Findings revealed that locals were unaware about the project. The locals were of the opinion that the development projects undertaken in their locality had not been implemented through their participation at initial stage in decision making, planning and implementation. The local members agreed that the project was run by people from other areas. Findings also revealed that there were social factors that affected community participation i.e. education level at a high extent. Findings further showed that the locals' attitudes, managerial involvement influenced their participation on project. 88 pp. Englisch.

The EPS is a concept designed to continue the flow and production of oil pending completion of the damaged facilities. The movement of barge was preceded by channel check, movement was designed to avoid all observed obstacles and navigational hazards. The datum was based on the 1m mark at GB-3 location, Olero Creek. Prior to the pre-survey of EPS barge movement, dredging of the project area at Olero Creek production platform slot and access was carried out because of the high build-up of siltation in the area. The pre-survey included the topographic and bathymetric appraisal of the entire flow station area. The information was used to reappraise the setting out of the layout before sand dropping and to design the sand padding to accommodate the overlap including loses. Positioning of the barge was tied to the tidal situation, while the movement was synchronized with tidal motion to avert the possibility of being dragged back by tide. 56 pp. Englisch.

When Sout…h Sudanese took up arms in 1955 to 1972 and in 1983 to 2005 against the North Sudanese Arabs, the rebel leaders were entangled in power wrangles and ideological differences, resulting in more bloody conflicts within the region. In 2010 and 2013, again, due to power wrangles coupled with misgovernance of South Sudan, more blood has been flowing. All factional wars have been fought along ethnic lines. The social fabrics among the communities have been ripped apart. After the independence of South Sudan in 2011, no tangible policies put in place to address the bitter past. In South Sudan's post-conflict era, prioritizing criminal justice alone will condemn South Sudanese into perpetual bitterness which would result in more wars. The author argues that South Sudan must utilize its own traditional justice mechanisms concurrently with the Truth Commission and other applicable transitional justice processes as was done in Rwanda, South Africa and other countries. 84 pp. Englisch.

The equations for these characteristics are removed. The possibility of movement in space with the speeds exceeding light speed is theoretically proved and shown. The principle of transition of matter through the light (power) barrier is explained. Existence of the World environment is proved; calculation of sizes of energy barrier of the zone of the uncertainty arising upon transition through 'the light barrier', the cosmological red shift, temperature of background radiation of the Universe is given. The hypothesis of existence of white holes, in space objects as power source, matter and magnetic field is offered.
