The book was produced to entice members to convert to a new membership plan from the original plan laid out when the club opened in 1994. Laid into the back of the box are highlights of the new membership plan, a conversion election form ($80,000 cost to convert to the new plan), the club bylaws and questions and answers regarding conversion to the new plan. Loch Lomond has a convoluted membership structure with 'captains' elected from various parts of the world and 1,800 total members. They also limit the number of rounds a member can play, which is interesting for an expensive club. The document also outlines plans for a third Jack Nicklaus course to be built for the club (which never materialized).
