Not Bound. Condizione: Very Good. Broadside. Small broadside poem by Mrs. Howell, commemorating the settlement of the Town, printed letterpress in a very simple style, with no ornamentation. About 8 1/4" x 4 5/8" size; printed on light-weight paper, all edges deckle. Composed of 3 eight-line stanzas, mostly of an inspirational nature. The author had strong sentiments, regarding her town with great appreciation. Mrs. Howell recounts the local history of the settlement: ".Ages have rolled down the dark stream of time,/ Since leaving the shore of their own native clime,/ Seeking a home on this ocean-girt Isle/.Here in their Island homes they have blest,/ Are oasis fair upon ocean's broad breast;/ The loved forms that builded the first cottage fires/." No publisher or printer noted, author published. A fairly good letterpress impression and clear; in very good condition.…
