Condizione: Gut. 310 Gutes Exemplar. Widmung an Ludmila Thomas, emer. Professorin für Geschichte Osteuropas, auf der Titelseite. - Klappentext: This is a Russian version of the German book of historical and geographical studies by the eminent explorer of Siberia G. F. Müller carried out during the Second Kamchatka expedition (17…33-1743). The book includes the descriptions of Kuznetsk, Yeniseysk and Krasnoyarsk uyezds (the lowest administrative division) as well as itineraries of the travel down the great Siberian rivers, i. e. Irtysh, Ob and Yenisei. These studies had never been published either in German or in Russian and are practically unknown even to the experts in these fields. G. F. Müller's notes contain the accounts of the colonization of Siberia in 17th century, materials on geography and economy, descriptions of towns, stockades and slobodas (settlements exempted from normal state obligations), data on the opening up of various Siberian regions in the first half of the 18th century, the population, size and location of Russian settlements, size and settlement pattern of the aboriginal population. Most of G. F. Müller's materials are absolu-tely unique. In particular, the comprehensive data on the ethnical and social composition of Russian and aboriginal settlements and their locations and settlement patterns are much more exhaustive than any other 18th century source including the official statistics. G. F. Müller's travel notes contain data on about twice as many Russian settlements in some uyezds than had been known to the contemporary historical studies based mostly on the 18th century censuses. Ethnologists and anthropologists specialized in Siberian peoples will be especially interested in the peoples fully assimilated as early as in the second half of the 18th century and in thou-sands of collected ethnonyms and toponyms which are reproduced in the present edition in G. F. Müller's original notation. ISBN 5875500271 ru Gewicht in Gramm: 250.
