The book is signed and dated 1975 on the ffep by the respected lexicographer Eric Partridge, who was also one of the editors of The Language Library, which published the book. Eric Partridge ( 1894 - 1979) was a New Zealand-British lexicographer of the English language, particularly of its slang. Among his many books, the best known is A Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English. . AB23. Signed.
