Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Beatrix Potter (illustratore). First Thus. Originally published in 1902, this deluxe edition was published to commemorate the writing of the famous picture letter sent by Potter to the son of her former governess in 1893. The book is bound in fine blue cloth with title, author and illustration in gilt on the front cover; title in gilt on the spine. All edges gilt. Gift inscription on the front paste-down. Otherwise, pages are in pristine condition. The card slipcase has bubbling mainly on the top and front panels, likely a binding error. Printed and bound in Great Britain by William Clowes Limited, Beccles and London . Please see all images.
