Once, not too long ago, New England rivers ran silver in late summer and early fall, flashing with hundreds of thousands of wild Atlantic salmon returning from the sea to spawn in their clean, free-flowing home waters. Maine s little-known Ducktrap River is one of these rare salmon rivers.
