Softcover. Condizione: Very Good. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. Spine faded. Softcover. English. See images for condition. About the book >.>.> I am honoured to write a foreword for this reprint of Days with the Golden Eagle; Seton Gordon's classic book on golden ea…gles is still relevant for today's readers. Eagles are long-lived birds and their ancestral hunting and nesting sites continue through the ages. Many of the eyrie sites that Seton Gordon visited in the early decades of the last century remain in use by golden eagles, as they were for centuries before even he first knew them. It is important that people interested in eagles understand the historical dimensions of this magnificent bird. Even for a long-lived bird like the eagle, there is no possibility that any of those that he studied could still be alive today, but it is wonderful to think that the 'grandchildren of some of them may be, for the oldest golden eagles in Scotland live to over thirty years. Interestingly, as I re-read his book I could also recognise the family names of keepers and stalkers, his contacts long ago, being the fathers or grandfathers of persons whom I have.
