Doch Beeman sieht sich nicht als Kritikerin, sondern als bildende Künstlerin und Modeillustratorin in einem. Ihre Inspirationen seien die Neue Sachlichkeit, besonders Christian Schad und Otto Dix, graphische Arbeiten der Wiener Sezession, sowie klassisch-griechische und byzantinische Kunst.
