The twelve hand colored copper engraved plates consist of 194 flies arranged by the months of May to September. One of the earliest books for the dry-fly purist. This copy is from the library of James Benkard, with his bookplate and signature. James Benkard was past president of South Side Club of Island from 1879-1883 Then later from the sporting library of Samuel B. Webb, with his hunting bookplate also affixed.
