Original decorated blue cloth, front and spine panels stamped in yellow with decorated endpapers. About one fourth (front edge) of back cover is discolored, fading from some sort of exposure. There is some light cover edge wear especially at corners. Pages very lightly age tanned, clean, tight and without marks. The sequel to Deluge finds mankind trying to rebuild civilization after the great flood where the waters rose and covered the earth. Women, the need for food, and the lust for power are the main problems which face these survivors of the deluge.

cat40a (illustratore). Original dark blue cloth lettered in yellow. Patterned end papers. A bit rubbed on the spine, light shelf wear, but a nice, clean, tight copy. The original dust jacket has been cut into sections and the front and rear panels and flaps have been tipped into the front & back of the book with small spots of paste. The spine of the dust jacket is laid into the book. The jacket could be re-assembled inside of a mylar protector, if one so desired. The sequel to DELUGE, a science-fiction disaster novel of the future in which the waters rise and destroy civilization. This American edition precedes the British edition, which was published by Harrap in 1930.

Early reprint of the April 1930 first edition. Publisher's original brown cloth with black titles to the spine, in the Francis Howlett Warren illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with light spotting to the text block edge and prelims, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that remains without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (3/6 on the front flap). An attractive example.
