Very mild foxing to covers and page block. Page interiors remain fresh and crisp. Modest edgewear, one tiny bump to rear cover's lower edge and occasional spots. The rear cover has one area where another book or paper appears to have become stuck, leaving a remnant about an inch long and half an inch wide, see photos. Published to coincide with an exhibition of thes ame name at Cranbook Academy of Art Museum, 1987 - an iteration of a show first at the Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati. An expansive catalogue of hunting decoys - "the only form of folk art indigenous to North America" meticulously described according to their deployment in various hunting contexts, and organized according to geographical region. Essay by Michael Hall concerning the "controversy" surrounding appreciation of duck decoys - on one side of the ostensible conflict the hunters who make and use them and on the other the collectors who covet their aesthetic value. Rare and lovely in very good overall condition.
