For the exhibition, LeWitt, one of the leading minimalist and conceptual artists of the period, produced a series of 122 frame structures, titled Variations of Incomplete Open Cubes, that were arranged on a grid matrix. According to LeWitt, "the idea part is simple, the visual perception is complex." Square 8vo, 8" x 8", unpaginated (264 pages), printed wrappers, fully illustrated with each open cubic variation represented by a line illustration and a b/w photograph by Akira Hagihara. Slight lean to spine. Front hinges slightly weakened. Light bumping and soiling to front wrapper. Toning and rubbing to rear wrapper. Content clean and bright. SCARCE.
