La mostraÂsuscito' ampio scandalo. Gian Tommaso Liverani, il gallerista, venne denunciato per avere esposto "articoli non pertinenti la sua licenza" e poi assolto grazie alle testimonianze di Giulio Carlo Argan e Palma Bucarelli. Altri artisti riprenderanno in seguito questa modalita' espressiva, ad esempio Kounellis con l'istallazione del 1969 intitolata "Untitled (12 Horses)" o, in tempi piu' recenti, nel 1997, Maurizio Cattelan con "Novecento", il cavallo in tassidermia imbragato e appeso al soffitto. Richard Serra nacque a San Francisco nel 1939. Frequento' la Scuola d'Arte e di Architettura all'Universita' di Yale tra il 1961 e il 1964. Parti' quindi alla volta dell'Europa, grazie ad una borsa di studio, vivendo prevalentemente tra Parigi e Roma e avvicinandosi al movimento della Pop Art e dell'Arte Povera. Proprio a Roma, nel 1966, tenne la sua prima mostra.ÂSuccessivamente, fece ritorno a New York, lavorando a contatto con esponenti delÂWest Coast antiform group.ÂQuesti segnarono la carriera dell'artista californiano, tanto da diventare protagonista ÂÂcon ad altri artisti emergenti  della mostraÂdelÂSolomon R. Guggenheim MuseumÂnel 1969, rendendolo famoso al grande pubblico. ITA.

Many of these Roma lived in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. These countries were part of the USSR where the policy of assimilation was strong. In the Eastern Bloc, assimilation also meant favouring name changes. Communism wanted to eradicate nomadism, promote 'sedentarization' by building entire neighbourhoods for the popular masses. For example, in Budapest, the old town has been preserved and it is in the periphery that large blocks of buildings have been built for the popular mass, including the Roma people. Their way of life in a caravan,without a fixed address, had to disappear, because under communism, the work card had to control the working masses and make it possible to locate all the people. Forced assimilation still allowed them to have a job. The Roma language was also considered archaic.
