This is the highly regarded Harvard University Press 1972 facsimile edition of Isaac Newton's Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, assembled and edited by Alexandre Koyré and I. Bernard Cohen, with assistance from Anne Whitman. Considered one of the most important works in the history of science, Newton's Principia laid the foundations of classical mechanics and shaped the scientific revolution. This two-volume scholarly edition is notable for its detailed comparison with variant readings of the original 1726 third edition.
