Arzt, der vor allem die paracelsischer Medizin auf eine solide Grundlage stellte. Auf langen Reisen setzte er sich in den Besitz einer Menge paracelsischer und anderer Vorschriften, die er schliesslich im Laboratorium nachprüfte. Seine Arbeitsergebnisse legte er in seiner "Basilica chymica" nieder.
