Overall a very good bright example. First edition of Sharp's first book, designed to be a breechloader-age replacement for Hawker's "Instructions to Young Sportsmen". With chapters on guns, ammunition, punts, decoys, various game birds etc. Illustrations by Herbert Sharp, the author's brother. A 1902 press-cutting is tipped into the front endpaper, relating to the Victorian Wild Birds Protection Act.
