Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - A Japanese Folktale - Bilingual English & Japanese Picture BookA gentle little crab trades her rice ball for a persimmon seed, planting it with care and singing it into a tall, fruit-laden tree. But when a clever monkey climbs up to help-and decides to keep every ripe persimmon for himself-the crab is left hurt and alone.Determined to help their mother, her children turn to three unlikely friends: a clever chestnut, a small but mighty bee, and a big wooden mortar. Together, they hatch a plan that isn't about revenge-it's about helping the monkey understand the harm he's caused. This beautifully illustrated retelling of the classic Japanese folktale Saru Kani Gassen teaches young readers that true friendship means forgiveness, and that even the smallest and gentlest of creatures can stand up for what's right.Part of the Kogetsu Japanese Tales series, this bilingual picture book presents the story side-by-side in English and Japanese, making it a wonderful way for children ages 7-12 to enjoy a treasured piece of Japanese folklore while exploring language and culture. Each page is illustrated in a warm, watercolor-and-ink style that brings the Edo-period countryside to life.Perfect for: - Children ages 7-12 learning about Japanese culture and folklore- Bilingual families and Japanese language learners- Story time, classroom reading, or a gentle bedtime tale about kindness, honesty, and forgiveness.…

Light even browning, a little very light shelf wear, one spine a trifle discoloured, overall very good. 25.7 x 18cm.
