He published several important tracts on religious subjects, and appears to have had some unorthodox views of the holy trinity, and published a few articles on the subject. However, around the time of the War of 1812, Worcester reflected on the effects of war, and became a pacifist. In 1814 he first published his "A Solemn Review of the Custom of War", which would continue in several other editions.
