This 1820 print, titled "Vue du Village de Hilterfingen au Lac de Thoune," depicts a serene view of Hilterfingen on Lake Thun in Switzerland, rendered after an original work by Jakob Samuel Weibel, and showcases the village nestled along the shoreline, complete with a church steeple and various… buildings, set against a backdrop of rolling hills and distant mountains. The composition includes a boat with figures in the foreground, adding a sense of scale and human presence to the scene, while another boat is seen further out on the lake, and the print, employing delicate lines and tonal variations, captures the tranquil atmosphere of the Swiss landscape and the charm of the lakeside village, indicative of the early 19th-century interest in picturesque scenery and topographical representation. Terwen sculpt." unten rechts versehen. -… Schöne Ansicht von interlaken - eine Gemeinde, die den Thuner und Brienzer See miteinander verbindet. Hier ist der Blick Richtung Thunersee zu sehen. Staffage-Personal vervollständigt die pittoreske Szenerie. - Blatt auf dünnem Japanpapier gedruckt und anschließend auf Trägerblatt kaschiert. Minimal stockfleckig. Verso Reste früherer Montage. Insgesamt in einem gutem Erhaltungszustand. - - (1820 Nürnberg - 1883). Deutscher Landschafts- und Architekturzeichner sowie Stahlstecher. Lieferte die Vorlagen für zahlreiche Stahlstiche insbesondere von Johann Poppel. Zeichnete Stahlstichfolgen mit Ansichten aus dem Harz (1853), vom Rhein (1855) und aus Ungarn und Siebenbürgen (1857). Nach seinen Zeichnungen erschienen um 1875 Chromolithografien mit Ansichten aus dem Berner Oberland. Etwa 1855 zeichnete er eine Serie von Donauveduten, die er selbst in Stahl stach.
