Hardcover. Condizione: Poor. Thick folio. No date, circa 1880. With 44 full-page steel engravings and about 200 woodcuts. Contemporary half calf, front cover and spine detached. Text and plates are very clean. This book is either a breaker or a candidate for rebinding. About 7 kg packed. UK postage is included in the default shipping charge.

Half-Leather. Condizione: Very Good. Large and very thick folio leather bound book which houses some quite magnificent sketches and illustrations of animal life. Boards are in very decent clean condition although the spines are cracking at the hinges at the head and foot, for several cms. Also the leather is a little worn at the head and foot. Owner inscrip at top edge of ffep. There is a little browning and light water staining on a few pages throughout but this truely is a masterpiece of a book with many of the plates on thick card paper which gives a real feeling of quality. Currently available to view and purchase at Hemswell Antique Centre, near Gainsborough, Lincolnnshire. Sorry but, due to the heaviness of this item we can only post in the UK and this will be at cost.
