Chipping and rubbing to leather portions of boards, with scattered blemishes, slight ghosting to front; interior foxed, significantly so in places, esp. to endpapers. A very good copy. Still a tight, sound, unmarked example of this collection of design elements for "the useful arts" of the later 19th century.

Undated, but from various clues within the text I reckon it to be 1870 to 1872 (+ or - 1 year). Some looseness at hinges with both boards being held by the strings but content still well held together. Som…e foxing/staining but no deliberate marks. Very small (less than 1 inch) light moisture stain in top corner of last few pages in margin only. Contains hundreds of illustrations including over 200 full page double sided plates. Most plates have no foxing or minimal foxing but a few have more (please see sample pics attached). 13 x 10 inch. Weighs 2.7kg. additional P&P may be requested.
