Since 1979 the University College (UC) Book Sale has been making out-of-print, used, hard-to-find and rare books available at reasonable prices. Every year over 100,000 donated items pass through the Book Sale workrooms where our volunteers from various academic and professional backgrounds check and evaluate all incoming items. Our internet listings are academically-oriented with an emphasis on the unusual, uncommon and rare rather than on textbooks. We also operate The Book Shop at UC open weekday afternoons. In mid-October, at our annual sale, we offer 80,000 plus books in the college's great halls. We will bring books from our Abebooks inventory to the Book Shop for examination or purchase (24 hours advance notice please). Proceeds from the UC Book Sale's operations go to students and to the Laidlaw Library at the college.
We offer a selection of academic mathematics books in this catalog and in our Science and Mathematics catalog.
Our French language listings are primarily academic and have recently been augmented from the generous libraries of several French academics.
