Selbit's biggest illusion was developed later -- sawing a woman in half. .

T. Selbit (1881-1938) was an English magician and inventor. He was the first person who performed the illusion of sawing a woman in half on stage (in 1921). Between 1902 and 1908 he acted as "pseudo-Egyptian" under the name Joad Heteb and later he created the name Selbit by spelling his last name backwards. He also published "The Magical Entertainer " and the "The Magic Art of Entertaining", as well from 1905 to 1910 he edited the magazine "The Wizard" (later The Magic Wand). - Cover is slightly knocked and a bit dusty; book is slightly warped by usage; pages are very slightly browned; little smell of smoke; else a really good copy.
