This book, significantly contributing to the broader discourse on education, asserts that effective learning should not merely be an intellectual exercise, but rather a holistic process that fosters critical and progressive development. The author emphasizes that curriculum design should consider the diverse needs of students and communities, balancing essential knowledge with the development of practical skills and personal growth. Through a historical lens, the book traces the evolution of curricula, highlighting the transition from rote memorization to a focus on comprehension, creativity, and social consciousness. Thematic analysis reveals that prioritizing cultural diversity and inclusivity in the classroom through flexible and adaptable curricula can empower students to navigate a changing world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Da: Riverby Books, Fredericksburg, VA, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 16 volume set in leather bindings with heavily gild foreedges, marbled endpapers, blindstamped and gilt decorations. Edited by William George Clark and William Aldis Wright. No dates, but most likely 1890s. With 171 engravings. Limitation page refers to this set at the Interlinear Edition. This is number 241 of 500 copies printed on Japanese Vellum Paper. In addition to the number, this edition goes on to say that this set was printed for Clara E. Vogelsang. A handwritten page bound in at the front giving the set to Dorothy as a wedding present from Aunt Clara and Uncle Charles. Complete in 16 volumes. They are all the same number (241) of the same edition. Curiously (and unfortunately from a designer's point of view) the bindings do not quite match. Volumes 1,4,5,6,7,9 have the initial D.H.H. in gold at the base of the spine and have dark brown spines. The other volumes lack the initials stamped at the bottom of the spine and the leather on the spine has faded to an altogether different shade of brown, even though it matches on the covers. Two of the volumes have world Galvan stamped in miniscule gold on the spines - presumably a bindery. Some volumes have green marbled paper for endpapers and some have brown. Volume 6 has a reddish tint to the spine. It's a peculiar state of affairs for a deluxe set in a custom binding - not just slightly different title placement on the spines but also different fading. The contents are in great shape, with tissue guards for every engraving and thick, bright gilding on the page edges. Please email with questions or to request photos. A scarce Victorian era set. Complete works of Shakespeare. Some extra shipping will be necessary. [shelved with sets].

A COMPLETE LIST OF TITLES IS INCLUDED AMONG THE PHOTOS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LISTING. $7,000. * This collection pertains chiefly to the subjects of law reform and international law. It was formed during the nineteenth century by the notable Scottish lawyer, bibliophile and antiquary, David Murray, who presented it to the Library of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow in 1902. As indicated by the contents, which span almost the entire nineteenth century, Murray had long possessed a sustaining interest in law reform. Many titles touch upon the numerous areas of law that were dramatically reformed during the 1800s, including bankruptcy law, conveyancing and real property law, judicial administration, chancery and equity, and, to a lesser extent, codification, criminal law and jurisprudence. Many of the works are presentation copies inscribed to other well-known international lawyers and reformers of the nineteenth century, among them Sir Travers Twiss, Sir John Connell, and Edwin Wilkins Field. Among the authors themselves are John Austin, Basil Mont.
