Albert, Alexandre Martin (1815 Bury/Oise, Frankreich - 1895 Mello/Oise) Französischer Sozialist, in der Öffentlichkeit bekannt als "Albert der Arbeiter", arbeitete zunächst als Maschinist in einer Knopffabrik, Mitglied der provisorischen Regierung der frz. Republik, verwickelt in den Aprilprozess (1839); nach der Februarrevolution einer der vier Sekretäre der provisorischen Regierung; beteiligt am Attentat vom 15.Mai 1848, 1849 deportiert nach Belle-Ile wo er bis zu seiner Erkrankung vier Jahre verblieb, erneute Haft für fünf Jahre in Tours. 1859 Begnadigung und Anstellung bei einer Gasfabrik in Paris. 1870 wurde er Mitglied der Bewegung "Commission des Baricades". 1871 und 1879 kanditierte er erfolglos für eine Kandidatur in der zweiten frz. Republik.
