He was also editor and publisher of The Arizona Post, a newspaper for the Tucson Jewish community, and Collegiate Baseball, a national publication. He created and directed the Bloom Southwest Jewish Archives at the University of Arizona (1988-1994). Inscribed by Author(s).

After retiring from the Arizona Daily Star, he created and directed the Bloom Southwest Jewish Archives at the University of Arizona (1988-1994). He wrote several books on topics ranging from U of A athletic history to freedom of the press and Jewish history.
