Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book examines religious conflicts and international relations during Europe's Thirty Years' War of the 17th century. The author provides a detailed historical chronicle of the period, in particular the experiences of prominent Protestant military leader, Count Palatine Johann Tserclaes, Tilly and Albrecht von Wallenstein. The text also considers the war's political ramifications, such as the complex relationships between Spain, France and Sweden, and the impact of the conflict on the Holy Roman Empire. This book is an authoritative account of a war that left an indelible mark on Europe, redrawing national borders and strengthening the continent's emerging nation states. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
