Blue decorative ownership stamp to f.f.e.p. else contents clean, bright, and free from foxing and annotations. Scarce collection of provincially printed poems in the Geordie dialect by autodidact miner-poet Alexander Barrass. Barrass went down the pit at the age of 9 years old and the collection addresses the exploitative conditions of nineteenth century mining with humour and pathos.
