Seit 1900 als pensionierter Oberstleutnantauditor im Ruhestand, behandeln Hajdeckis Briefe und die von ihm verfaßten Abschriften von Eingaben, Anträgen u. a. allesamt sein Vorhaben, für seine kunsthistorische Tätigkeit von der Gemeinde Wien entspreche…nd unterstützt zu werden. Frucht des selbstgefälligen Sistierens waren die 'Vergessenen Wiener Barockkünstler' (Bd. 1 'Die Familie Astrosser', 1920; Bd. 2 'Die Malerfamilie Aurbach, 1926'). - Ein wohl als Zeitungsbeitrag gedachtes, mit März 1908 datiertes und unterzeichnetes Manuskript setzt sich streitlustig mit einem "wahrhaft sensationellen Beethovenfund" auseinander, den der Verfasser "bekanntlich [.] gemacht" habe und der "die ganze Welt, im Wege der Zeitungsstimmen, welche mir vorliegen, in Bewegung gesetzt hat".
