Nowell Price, a book of poems, The Cardinal's Coach and other poems (1927).Sybil Barham trained at the Herkomer Art School, London, and worked as an illustrator. This is a charming example of fairy stories set in Edwardian middle-class life. Scarce. Green cloth binding; front cover has a 3-colour image framing the title; spine has floral motif; back cover has publisher's logo. Cover is rubbed on all edges, 1cm split on top of spine, ink stains on lower edges, printed designs and lettering abraded. Binding cracked inside front and back covers and slightly loose. Edges of block rubbed. Some marks to pages. Colour frontispiece missing but two colour plates present. 24 b/w images in text. inscription on flyleaf.
