Aggiungi al carrelloDe très nombreuses faunes de brachiopodes ont été collectées ces trois dernières décennies dans le Lias et l'Aalénien du Quercy (France) lors de missions communes et/ou de travaux de thèse. Nos déterminations initiales fournies aux différents auteurs et intégrées dans leurs thèses et autres publications, ont toutes été revues lo…rs de la réalisation de ce mémoire. Le matériel examiné comprend 3 950 spécimens dont 1 300 ont été mesurés pour effectuer les études biométriques et la description des espèces suivant la dynamique des populations. L'étude paléontologique concerne 46 espèces rapportées à 20 genres. Les attributions génériques des espèces décrites étant maintenant bien établies, les descriptions et figurations des caractères internes ne sont pas abordées ici. Il est simplement fait référence aux travaux antérieurs et aux meilleures figurations des structures internes données par les différents auteurs. Nos collectes sont replacées dans le cadre géographique, géologique et lithologique des trois secteurs du Quercy. Elles sont corrélées avec la chronostratigraphie standard des ammonites de la bioprovince nord-téthysienne française. La zonation du Lias et de l'Aalénien quercynois par les brachiopodes comporte onze zones dont trois zones d'intervalle (= zones d'absence de brachiopodes). Quatre sous-zones ont également été mises en évidence. La succession des faunes de brachiopodes est reliée à l'évolution des paléoenvironnements. En conclusion, un tableau en double page synthétise les zonations établies sur le pourtour du Bassin d'Aquitaine (Pyrénées, Quercy et Bordure sud du Massif Armoricain). Il met en évidence une relative généralisation de la zonation globale, avec toutefois des limites hétérochrones de zones dues à l'influence des paléoenvironnements favorables (ou non) à l'installation et au développement des communautés benthiques de brachiopodes, les environnements dépendant eux-même de l'évolution paléogéographique et du contexte tectonosédimentaire. A large number of brachiopod faunas have been collected over the past three decades in the Lias and Aalénian of Quercy (France) during joint missions and/or thesis work. Our initial determinations provided to the various authors and integrated into their theses and other publications, have all been reviewed during the production of this thesis. The material examined includes 3,950 specimens, 1,300 of which were measured to carry out biometric studies and the description of species according to population dynamics. The paleontological study concerns 46 species belonging to 20 genera. The generic attributions of the described species being now well established, the descriptions of the internal characters are not approached here. Reference is simply made to previous works and to the best representations of the internal structures given by the various authors. Our collections are placed in the geographical, geological and lithological framework of the three sectors of Quercy. They are correlated with the standard ammonite chronostratigraphy of the French North Tethyan bioprovince. The zonation of the Lias and the Quercy Aalenian by brachiopods comprises eleven zones including three interval zones (= zones of absence of brachiopods). Four sub-areas have also been highlighted. The succession of brachiopod faunas is linked to the evolution of paleoenvironments. In conclusion, a double-page table summarizes the zones established around the Aquitaine Basin (Pyrenees, Quercy and southern border of the Armorican Massif). It highlights a relative generalization of the global zonation, with however heterochronous limits of zones due to the influence of favorable (or not) paleoenvironments to the installation and development of benthic communities of brachiopods, the environments themselves depending paleogeographic evolution and tectonosedimentary context. 105 pp., 26 figs, 22 tabs, 9 plates, br. 4.

Appliquant la même démarche que dans les deux ouvrages précités, et par rapport aux Traités américains de Paléontologie (R.C. Moore, 1965 ; R. L. Kaesler, 2000 et 2006), notre travail donne une description plus complète des genres, en se basant non seulement sur leur espèce-type, mais aussi sur les diverses espèces rapportées à chaque genre, en précisant leurs extensions verticales et leurs répartitions géographiques. Les genres sont ainsi conçus plus largement, la notion de genre impliquant alors un itinéraire évolutif et non une simple acception typologique basée sur l'espèce-type. 26 genres de Terebratellididina (sous-ordre des Terebratulida) sont ainsi traités avec l'analyse morphologique de leurs 129 espèces. Le matériel utilisé dans ce mémoire est très abondant (9 300 spécimens dont les 139 figurés sur les 9 planches). Il correspond au matériel étudié dans nos publications selon la dynamique des populations. Il est ici complété par nos propres collectes non encore utilisées et par les faunes du Centre Commun des Collections de Géologie de l'Université Claude-Bernard Lyon 1, comportant en particulier les topotypes de divers espèces ainsi que des moulages de types et figurés aujourd'hui perdus ou conservés dans d'autre universités et musées. C'est cette dernière origine des matériaux qui nous a conduit à décrire et à figurer quelques genres du Jurassique supérieur. Applying the same approach as in the two aforementioned works, and in relation to the American Treatises on Paleontology (R.C. Moore, 1965; R. L. Kaesler, 2000 and 2006), our work gives a more complete description of the genera, based not only on their type-species, but also on the various species related to each genus, specifying their vertical extensions and their geographical distributions. The genera are thus conceived more broadly, the notion of genus then implying an evolutionary itinerary and not a simple typological meaning based on the type-species. 26 genera of Terebratellididina (suborder Terebratulida) are thus treated with the morphological analysis of their 129 species. The material used in this dissertation is very abundant (9,300 specimens including the 139 figured on the 9 plates). It corresponds to the material studied in our publications according to population dynamics. It is supplemented here by our own collections not yet used and by the faunas of the Common Center of Geology Collections of the University Claude-Bernard Lyon 1, including in particular the topotypes of various species as well as casts of types and figured today. now lost or preserved in other universities and museums.
