Original 1923 popular song sheet associated with Al Jolson during the height of his Broadway and recording fame. The striking cover combines a blue-tinted photographic portrait of Jolson with stylized orange-and-blue agricultural imagery referencing the song's Southern theme. The interior includes ukulele chord diagrams and accompaniment markings, reflecting the early-1920s ukulele craze in American popular music publishing. Abner Silver and Harry Woods were prolific Tin Pan Alley composers whose collaborations became widely recorded during the interwar years. Woods later composed enduring standards including 'When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along.' The interior retains the original publisher's promotional sidebar reading 'Get this song for your Talking Machine and Player Piano,' a notable period advertising feature documenting the early-1920s transition from home sheet-music performance to phonograph records and player-piano entertainment. His performances helped popularize numerous Tin Pan Alley songs, while M.
