Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A finely produced West Point songbook capturing the musical traditions, cadet experience, and ceremonial heritage of the United States Military Academy. This substantial hardcover presents a broad range of patriotic, military, and academy songs in formal notation, including foundational American works such as The Star-Spangled Banner and The Battle Hymn of the Republic, alongside West Point standards such as The Corps, Benny Havens, Oh!, and The Official West Point March. Issued in a clean, emblematic format featuring the USMA crest, the volume captures the musical heritage central to the Academy's identity and ceremonial culture. Condition is Near Fine. Binding remains tight and square, with a clean, bright interior free of markings. Title page and contents are crisp and well-preserved. Cloth boards are fresh, showing only very light, incidental surface wear; a faintly visible, rubbed embossed mark to the rear board (likely an institutional or publication stamp) is present but unobtrusive. Corners gently touched. A notably attractive copy overall, presenting above typical examples of this institutional title. No dust jacket was issued. William A. McIntosh serves as editor, arranger, and commentator, framing the historical and cultural significance of music within the United States Military Academy. His contribution emphasizes the role of song in shaping cadet identity and preserving longstanding military traditions, positioning the volume as both a practical performance resource and a document of institutional heritage.…

Aggiungi al carrelloUnbound. Condizione: Very Good. Broadside or poster advertising the 1895 book. 12½" x 18". Illustrated by F. Richard Anderson. Printed in black with a whimsical football illustration on pale green paper. Very good with small chips at the extremities affecting no printing, and a small piece of tape on the reverse (to no purpose). The illustration depicts a man in a fleur-de-lys uniform with a leather nose guard, opposed in the distance by some rather goofy looking football players (some with "Y," "H," "C," and "P" presumably for Yale, Harvard, Columbia, and Princeton or Penn). Anderson was a successful Broadway costume designer, which probably explains the *très sportif* uniform. A poster advertising a very early football book, following Walter Camp's *American Football* (considered the first book on the sport) by four years. Rare. *OCLC* locates one copy of the 36-page book at the University Club in New York City, and no copies of this poster.…
