Aggiungi al carrelloKlappenbroschur. Condizione: Sehr gut. 38 Seiten, zahlr. Abb. Sehr gutes Exemplar mit leichten altersbedingten Gebrauchsspurn. / Very good copy with unsignificant signs of wear. - Text: Danish and English. / Published by Galerie Mikael Andersen, DCA Gallery Hjørring Kunstmuseum. The exhibition is generously supported by TIME SYSTEM & HJØRRING KUNSTMUSEUM DENMARK. / Jesper Christiansen's "Notepaintings" make up a group of paintings begun in 1994. They develop the artist's thematic concern during the past ten years with the motifs of painting, which in the context of Christiansen's work may be understood as extending to the very motivation for painting. In the series entitled "Signpaintings" (1992-93), recognizable forms from his earlier pictures walls, coat hangers, stairways and chairs were replaced by words. "Notepaintings" continue this development, but are more concentrated and systematic in their composition and exploration of the pictorial possibilities offered by word-painting.
