sonst. Bücher. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - Im frühen 13. Jahrhundert errichtete das Kloster Rott innerhalb der Ministerialenburg eine Kirche, von deren Gestalt aber nichts bekannt ist. Wohl im 15. Jahrhundert wurde sie neu erbaut oder durchgreifend erneuert. Den damaligen Zustand der Pfarrkirche dokumentiert die Ortsansicht Kötzt…ings, die Hans Donauer um 1590 an das Gewölbe des Antiquariums der Münchner Residenz gemalt hat: Die Kirche erscheint als spätgotischer Bau mit schmälerem und niedrigerem Chorraum, der dreiseitig geschlossen ist, nördlich von diesem steht der Turm mit Doppelfenstern und einem Pyramidenhelm, ähnlich dem der Wettzeller Kirche; die Friedhofskapelle wiederholt - abgesehen vom Turm - dieses Schema in verkleinerter Form.

Innerhalb der Serie gibt es weder eine übergeordnete Erzählung, noch existiert eine dra…maturgische Entwicklung oder richtige Abfolge. Es handelt sich bei den einzelnen Bildern nicht um versprengte Fragmente, die gemeinsam einen weiblichen Charakter skizzieren, sondern um eigenständige und autarke Momentaufnahmen. Vergleichbar mit dem Blitz einer Fotokamera, der im Dunkel die Umgebung kurz und partiell in einzelnen Ausschnitten sichtbar macht, so sind auch die Bilder von Time Slice Short Cuts einer Person, die insgesamt geheimnisvoll bleibt. Häufig angeschnitten durch den Bildrand zeigt Hoenig ihr Modell in privaten Situationen. Das dabei entstehende narrative Potential ergibt sich paradoxerweise durch Abwesenheit, denn gerade das Fehlen einer eindeutigen Intention verführt den Betrachter, den Einblick in die Welt der Bildprotagonistin zum Anlass möglicher Geschichten zu machen. Auf einer Zeitachse gedacht, entspricht das bruchstückhafte Ausblitzen eines Raumes und die Isolierung einzelner Bilder der Arbeitsweise unseres visuellen Gedächtnisses. Was dem Menschen aus Erlebnissen der Vergangenheit noch zugänglich ist, wird ja zu einem überwiegend grossen Teil in Form von Bildern gespeichert: Bilder, die aus einem kaum benennbaren Grund besonderen Eindruck gemacht haben, unvergesslich und gleichsam eingebrannt in die Erinnerung. Die Szenen in Hoenigs Gemälden erinnern an solche Momente respektive zeichnen sie nach, sie sind bildliche Ausformulierungen einer individuellen Betroffenheit. Die Struktur des menschlichen Vorstellungsvermögens spielt dabei eine ausgesprochen wichtige Rolle. Die Erinnerung lässt bekanntlich vieles weg und fügt manches hinzu, reichert eine reale Situation durch verschiedene Geschichten und Eindrücke an und manipuliert sich dadurch gleichsam selber, bis den entsprechenden, in der Vorstellung geschaffenen Bildern schliesslich keinerlei Realität mehr entspricht: sie sind verdichtet, überzeitlich und emotional aufgeladen. Der Universalität des visuellen Gedächtnisses auf der einen Seite entspricht gleichzeitig eine grosse Unschärfe auf der anderen. Die für wichtig befundenen Momente mögen in der Erinnerung wohl wie unter einem Vergrösserungsglas erscheinen, doch werden die nebensächlichen Aspekte eigentümlich unscharf. Hoenig verzichtet in Bildern wie Touch, Water oder View nahezu ganz auf Farbe und nachvollzieht derart diese Eigentümlichkeit. Steht eine Geste im Vordergrund, so spielt Farbe eine untergeordnete Rolle, was im Modus der Erinnerung aber meint: keine Rolle. In den meisten Bildern von Time Slice ist die Farbe dennoch zentral. Basierend auf Studien von Gemälden aus Mittelalter und Renaissance arbeitet Hoenig mit einer äusserst aufwändigen, mehrschichtigen Maltechnik, durch die es infolge der vielen übereinander gelegten Farbschichten oft mehrere Monate dauert, bis ein bestimmter, beabsichtigter Farbton entsteht. Das Resultat sind strahlende und üppige Farben, die den Bildern etwas Vollmundiges geben; vergleichbar mit einem grossen Schluck eines grossen Rotweins. Die Lockenpracht des Modells wird noch üppiger und zudem durch die unbändige Malerei als erinnerungswürdige Sensation ausgezeichnet, oder aber der Faltenwurf eines Bettlakens derart prominent in Szene gesetzt, dass er nahezu die gesamte Bildfläche einnimmt."
