Dust Jacket: pinkish paper with black lettering to front and spine; some darkening to the spine; rubbing and chipping to all edges but largely intact; remarkable for printed titles etc for a completely different book on the reverse; not price clipped (now protected). Cover: green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine, in very good clean condition; some slight signs of edge wear and slight wrinkling of cloth to both boards; otherwise very clean and bright. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; some darkening to page edges; small neat gift inscription to 'Beryl' on verso of front free end paper and an equally neat caption "The letters of the Lady 'Cranley' to her daughter." underneath the pre-title; previous owner's name (also very neat) to front paste down. lxxx, 502 pp.
